Michael Sears writes with Stanley Trollip as Michael Stanley. Their Detective Kubu novels are set in Botswana and based around real issues affecting southern Africa. The latest book in the series, Dead Wrong, is a twisted tale where nothing is what it seems. They won a Barry Award for Death of the Mantis and were finalists for other awards including an Edgar and an Anthony award. They also have a stand-alone thriller, Dead of Night.
