S. B. Watson is a short story specialist with a particular love for locked-room mysteries and impossibility problems. His stories have appeared in Ellery Queen’s and Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazines, Mystery Magazine, Mystery Tribune, and anthologies from publishers such as Black Beacon Books, Murderous Ink Press, Camden Park Press, and others. His story The Five Cent Detective was a 2025 Shamus Award finalist.
