Scott McKinnon began his career writing screenplays, mostly romantic comedies, before turning to cozy mystery and crime fiction. Born and raised in Alberta, he spent time in Los Angeles and Vancouver before settling in Toronto. Inspired by Anthony Horowitz, Rian Johnson, and Agatha Christie, he writes entertaining, thought-provoking stories shaped by wry humour, unconventional plots, and compelling characters.
