Scott Von Doviak is the author of the Edgar and Anthony Award-nominated novel Lowdown Road, which Stephen King called “a f**king great story.” His debut novel Charlesgate Confidential was named one of the top 10 crime novels of 2018 by the Wall Street Journal. He spent two decades as a pop culture writer, including stints as a film critic for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and a TV reviewer for the Onion’s AV Club. He lives in Austin, Texas.
